Book: The Boy At The Back Of The Glass.

Promoting children's welfare and children's rights.

It’s a day to highlight the challenges and opportunities children face around the world. My children migrated to the UK during the COVID pandemic. Like you, this was everything I had hoped for; the ability to give them opportunities globally, starting with the UK. We were all excited about our new beginnings. I didn't expect that my teenage son would be dealing with anxieties of migrating and starting a new class. He worried a lot about being the new kid in class. A teacher recommended the book "The Boy at the Back of the Class" by Onjali Q. Raúf, about a refuge boy called Ahmet, and his journey to the UK. It is primarily intended for a younger audience and has great online reviews and my son testified that it helped him adjust, by reading and understanding that another migrant's story. A child like him, different paths, same journey. He loved this book, so I recommend it a lot for young readers and teens who are processing their thoughts and experience about migrating outside their home country.

Perhaps, this is a great addition to the Christmas toys? 🤑😆
