Our topic this September month is on Parenting with Purpose. ⚡️
As the warm summer weather comes to an end and the new academic year begins, it's a great time to add some fun activities to our routines.
Planned activities gives the 'presence of being' and to get the kids away from technology and devices. Which would you try?
🌱Gardening Day: Spend a day in the garden planting flowers, herbs, or vegetables. Let your kids take charge of their own small garden plots and teach them about nurturing plants.1️⃣
🏞 Picnic in the Park: Pack a picnic basket with your family's favorite snacks and sandwiches, then head to a nearby park for a leisurely picnic. Bring along a frisbee or a soccer ball for some outdoor games.2️⃣
👩🏽🌾Visit a Farmer's Market: Explore a local farmer's market to sample fresh produce, baked goods, and artisanal products. It's a great way to get out of the house, get some time off technology, support local businesses and teach kids about where food comes from.3️⃣
🚴🏽♂️Bike Ride: Go for a family bike ride on a scenic trail or through your neighborhood. If you don't have bikes, consider renting them for the day...or walking.4️⃣
🎨Go kiting or paint art in the Park: Buy kites or bring along some art supplies like sketchbooks, colored pencils, or watercolors, and have a creative session in the park. Encourage your kids to draw or paint what they see around them. Don't forget the picnic basket. 5️⃣
🦓Visit a Zoo, Botanical Garden, Local Museum or Aquarium: Spend the day exploring a local zoo or botanical garden. It's not only fun but also educational for kids to learn about different animals and plant species. 6️⃣
🍳Cooking Challenge: Have a family cooking challenge where each member of the family prepares a different part of the meal. It's a fun way to bond and enjoy a delicious homemade dinner together. 7️⃣
🏖 Beach Day: If you live near the coast, have a day at the beach. Build sandcastles, play beach volleyball, swim in the ocean, and soak up the sun.8️⃣
🎫 Community Events: Look for community events or festivals happening in your area. These often feature live music, food vendors, and activities for families.9️⃣
🚖Day Trip: Plan a day trip to a nearby town or attraction that you haven't explored yet. It could be a historic site, a botanical garden, or a scenic hiking trail.🔟
Remember to take plenty of photos to capture these special moments and create lasting memories with your family before the academic year gets into full swing.
